What Is the UDISE Plus Student Module and Why Is It Important?

The UDISE Plus Student Module is the official digital system used in India to collect, update, verify, and submit student information from all recognized schools across both rural and urban regions.

It works as part of the UDISE+ SDMS (Student Database Management System) and allows schools, headmasters, Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs), and district MIS officers to manage and monitor real-time student records such as:

• Enrollment details
• Dropouts and student transfers
• Entitlements such as textbooks and mid-day meals
• Promotion and academic progression
• Caste, gender, and minority status

Login Guide for the UDISE+ Student Module 2026

Follow These Steps to Access Your Udise Plus Student Module:

Open the Official UDISE+ Login Portal:

• Go to https://sdms.udiseplus.gov.in.
• Or open the official website https://udiseplus.gov.in.
• Click on “Login for All Modules” option.

Choose Your State/UT:

• Select your state or union territory from menu.
• This takes you to the correct state-specific SDMS dashboard.

AddYour Login Credentials:

• Username: Your 11-digit UDISE code.
• Password: Issued by your Block MIS Coordinator or Headmaster.
• Captcha: Enter the characters and verify it.

Access Your Dashboard & Module:

• Click Submit to Login.
• The dashboard with different option is appear.
• Select Student Module (SDMS).

Start Managing Student Records

How to Use the UDISE Plus Student Module for the 2026 Academic Year?

After logging in, schools can open the UDISE Plus Student Module Dashboard to view, manage, and update student records. The information is arranged into three main data sections for easier management.

Profiles in Udise Plus Student Module

General Profile (GP): Add student details such as name, date of birth, gender, Aadhaar number, mother tongue, and parents’ names.

Enrollment Profile (EP): Covers admission number, UDISE code, promotion or retention status, and class/section information.

School Facilities Mapping (SF): Tracks benefits received by the student, including mid-day meals, uniforms, free textbooks, and scholarships.

Tasks in the Udise Plus Student Module

Select the Academic Year:

Choose the selected academic session to aviod errors.

Update Student Progress

• Select the relevant class and section
• Update each student’s status:
• Promoted
• Retained
• Transferred
• Dropped Out (monitored under the RTE Act)

Enter the new school UDISE code. The system update records after MIS approval.

Add New Students

• Click on “Add Student” button.
• Complete the General, Enrollment and Facility profiles.
• Use PEN (Permanent Education Number) + Date of Birth to check old records.
• Upload multiple student data in Excel.

Verify and Submit:

• Utilize the built-in Auto Error Preview.
• Key validations include:
